I purchased this tv most 2 weeks ago to exchange a 42 inch Panasonic plasma. There are a circumstances of nifty things near this tv, just the one thing that matters almost – the movie – was a large disappointment. The intent and features of this tv are great. Internet worked actually well, menus are nicely set out and I loved the big screen. If you regard the tv straight on, the flick is excellent, just if you ride the slightest UN65D8000 turn dead substance it washes out quickly. Negroid stratums gone terrible, screen uniformity issues gone glaring (flashlighting and vertical banding) and colors (particularly flesh tones) are poor. Watching an episode of American Horror Level was a nightmare. I exchanged this tv for the PN64D8000 plasma and am much happier. The plasma picture is not quite equally bright, merely the snuff center regarding and colors are far superior. For me, ameliorate negroid layers and color are more important than spectacularly bright whites. The plasma has a far superior picture.
